A fiction or a documentary.
During pre-production, one of the things I had to seriously consider was wether my movie would be a documentary or a fiction. The plot was flexible enough to fit both, yet I eventually settled with it being a fiction because I thought I would have much more freedom in filming it. I did not want it to be a reporting of a tragic incidence that we are facing in the 21st century. I instead wanted it to be a bit distant enough from current reality to make it easier to absorb. By choosing to film it as a fiction movie, I realise that I am shedding light on an important issue while still providing a source of entertainment for my viewers.
