CHANGES THROUGHOUT THE SHORT FILM

Throughout my short film “The Perfect Life” I had many changes. My initial storyboard is completely different in comparison to my final film.

Firstly, when I started filming my movie I came up with many different ideas which worked much better for the movie’s genre. The plan for my short film is to represent, in most efficient way, the two aspects of a girl’s life. It was really challenging task to fit such a thing in a short time since I would also be representing the effect of social media alongside the main plot line. My actor had to represent two different characteristics that somehow belong to the same person.

The whole plot was centred around a girl’s obsession with social media but as I go more into it, I started to develop greater ideas that matched up perfectly and added more essence to my movie that added to the intrigue and made it more interesting.

I also switched up scenes’ sequence, wardrobe and locations several times as well to ensure that all these factors would help drive forth the image that I’m trying to present. I was fully aware that factors like these help contribute to the final product and I really wanted everything to be in perfect alignment.
